Job Description
The IT PMO at ChenMed embraces an Agile Project Management Lifecycle to deliver technology to internal clinical and corporate customers. As the Senior Agile Project Manager, you will foster an agile mindset, lead and coach our project teams, collaborate with our stakeholders, and partner with business executives to execute on the highest priority business value projects.

This role ensures delivery teams are following process and ceremonies and total alignment on initiative requirements and deliverables is achieved.  Responsible for communicating initiative status, publishing sprint metrics, managing risks and issues, and coordinating internal and external meetings as necessary to ensure teams stay appropriately focused on expected delivery.

The Sr. IT Project Manager provides leadership, coaching, analysis, support, and facilitation for the successful delivery of IT project work.  Drawing from knowledge of and experience in organizational behavior and agile and traditional project delivery methodologies, the Sr. IT Project Manager is responsible for working with stakeholders and project teams to efficiently and effectively deliver projects according to priority, context, and resource definitions and constraints, including the analysis, management, monitoring, and reporting of their progress to completion.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product and business owners and other stakeholders to identify, analyze, understand, and prioritize project work by business value and urgency.
  • Collaborate with project delivery teams and peers to provide meaningful work structure, tracking, and reporting by the same business value determinations and prioritization defined by the stakeholders.
  • As a member of the IT leadership team, communicate verbally and in written forms (formal and informal), with all audiences within the organization, including senior and executive leaders.
  • Coach and facilitate ceremonies, meetings, and other collaborations as appropriate to effectively perform work and to understand, resolve, and / or mitigate risks, obstacles, and conflicts in the delivery of project work.
  • Perform as a change agent, employing inspection and adaptation and continuous improvement processes to consistently provide opportunities for team and project delivery evolutions that will maximize autonomy, self-managed teams, and a thriving project delivery culture in the IT organization.
  • Other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to operate a computer in a Windows environment utilizing Google applications, RingCentral conferencing, and MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Skype for Business, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Innotas workflow and PPM applications.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively articulate, demonstrate, negotiate, persuade, and otherwise   deliver appropriate levels of messaging and decision-support information with all audiences, including senior leaders, and in all forms (e.g., written, verbal, and the creation and delivery of presentations).
  • Effectively handle ambiguity in all aspects of work, including business direction and strategy, to enable the synthesis of disparate observations and data, creating conclusions and recommendations, and successfully leading and supporting project teams through change.
  • Excellent conceptualization, analytical, logic, and reasoning skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • May be required to travel up to 25% of the time.

EDUCATION / SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
  • At least six (6) years of project delivery experience in agile and traditional project management environments.  
  • Strong working knowledge of team dynamics, project delivery metrics, and traditional and agile principles and processes.
  • Working knowledge of agile theory, rules, practices, and methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, LeSS, SAFe, XP, and Lean.
  • Basic knowledge of software development, systems and network infrastructure, IT service and support, change control, data and architecture, vendor management, and business application management processes and procedures.
  • Proven history of fostering teamwork and collaboration across multiple functional areas with competing priorities.
  • Certified ScrumMaster and/or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® Certification preferred.
  • Healthcare industry knowledge a plus.
