About the Speakers

Dr. Shruthi Sambamoorthy: Primary care physician Shruthi Sambamoorthy is board certified in internal medicine. She earned her bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Toronto and her doctorate, summa cum laude, from the American University of Antigua; she completed her residency at the University of Buffalo. “Seniors have the most interesting stories to tell, and working with them is very rewarding,” says Dr. Sambamoorthy. “I try to make a difference in my patients’ lives by promoting a healthy and happy lifestyle, effective communication, and practicing evidence-based medicine.”

Dr. Dana Keys-Frezzell: In the many years Dr. Dana Keys-Frezzell has practiced internal medicine, she’s believed that each patient has purpose and importance and should be cared for with the utmost dignity and respect. It was ingrained from childhood—by her RN mother, who fueled her medical interests, and by her faith. Reflecting on her experience with seniors, she says, “It’s been a fulfilling privilege to sit and learn about my patients as we develop a plan that best meets their needs and goals. I appreciate the life experience seniors share, and I want to ensure they get the time and assistance their care requires.”

Dr. Evelyn Campbell-Bayaan: Dr. Evelyn Campbell-Bayaan’s interests in biology and working on puzzles as a child helped her decide to become a doctor. “Biology helps you know how the body works,” Dr. Campbell-Bayaan says. “I use puzzle-solving skills every day to discover my patients’ health problems and find the best way to treat them. I decided to work with Seniors because of their special needs. Unfortunately, they often have limited resources to address their health. My goal is to be an advocate for my patients and educate them about medicine, so they can make informed decisions about their health. I support involving their loved ones in health discussions. All of this can help seniors have the best quality of life possible.”

Dr. Khalilah Muhammad: Dr. Khalilah Muhammad, MD is an internal medicine specialist in Louisville, KY. She currently practices at Jencare Senior Medical Center.
